Spacerock Reviews

What we have here is an engaging album that effortlessly moves between Deborah’s spellbinding vocals on tracks like ‘Eagle’ and ‘More Than Stardust’ and Searl’s professorial ruminations on the development of anti-gravity transport.

Psychotropic Zone

The half-an-hour-long trip ”Spirit Horse” seems to be somehow based on the shamanism and healing of the American Indians and is also very peaceful but extremely mind-expanding stuff. Also this long track that has steady, slow shaman drum and lots of effected, almost whispered female voice is mostly done by Deborah I guess but Joie has been helping out with the recording and editing, at least. The end result is very heady and spiritual, anyway.

It goes without saying that the music and ideology of Inverse Gravity Vehicle is not suited for everyone but if you want to chill-out and search for the answers from the deepest corners of your mind in peace this might be very helpful as a meditative tool.

Sangita Sounds

Often equally challenging and engaging, this music is uniquely placed in its aural auric field and fuses the sonic sensibilities of ambient, freaky electro and experiemental music.  The essence of each of the pieces and songs draw the listener into the world of possibilities raised by the controversial New Energy Technologist, John Searl and his Inverse Gravity Vehicle.  The wit and wisdoms contained in this Double Album are a never ending source of both amusement and bemusement.  The weirdness factor is supremely high and anyone looking for something new for their sonic diet will arguably find something in this electric eclectic mix of tone tales for tomorrow. Look to the Stars!

Pot Bellied Pigs Can Fly
I think this is my favorite cut here. There is a weird vocal pattern that is repeated and it is set over the top of an exceptionally active rhythmic pattern. Somehow this reminds me of something from Tony Levin. It’s definitely rather odd, but also very compelling. It dissolves to almost a scratching to eventually end.
